Alan J Dunne is proprietor of A.J. Dunne Sound Equipment which specialises in the Hire, Sales and Installation of professional Sound, Lighting and Theatre equipment. Established in 2003, it is a small business based in the west of Ireland that provides sound engineering services and professional lighting and staging for musical productions, theatre performances, outdoor events, festivals, live bands, fashion shows, corporate events etc. We also sell and install professional equipment to theatres, schools, pubs, restaurants, night-clubs and other entertainment venues. We are involved in production management for festivals, events and stage shows. We operate as a small close-knit team of professionals, providing a personal and quality service.
Previous to the setting up of AJ Dunne Sound Equipment, Alan held the post of technical stage manager in Draiocht Arts Centre, Blanchardstown, Dublin for the first two years of its existence (2001 - 2003). Responsibilities included production and stage management, facilitation of sound, lighting and technical support for touring theatrical performances. Previous to that, Alan worked as the in-house sound and lighting technician in one of Ireland's largest and most sucessful nightclub / live music venues in the late 90s, the 3000 capacity "Rockin' Robins".
